By accessing or using Receiptin, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Receiptin. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Description of Service
Receiptin provides tools that allow users to upload, scan, organize, and analyze receipts using OCR and AI-powered processing. The Service is intended for personal and informational purposes only.
Receiptin does not provide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.
3. User Accounts
Certain features may require account registration.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
Receiptin is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your account.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all receipts, images, and data you upload (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you grant Receiptin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, analyze, and display such content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to upload the User Content and that it does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
5. Data Security & Sensitive Information
Receiptin is designed to minimize the collection and storage of sensitive information.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Receipts uploaded to the Service may contain personal information such as names, transaction details, merchant locations, or partial identifiers. Receiptin processes such information only as necessary to provide the Service and does not sell or share personal data for advertising purposes.
Payment Card Information (PCI)
Receiptin does not intentionally collect or store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or card expiration dates. Any payment-related information visible on receipts (such as card type or last four digits) is incidental and used solely for receipt identification, categorization, and user reference.
Security Measures
Receiptin implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect user data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for reviewing receipts prior to upload and should avoid submitting documents containing information they do not wish to process.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Upload false, misleading, or unauthorized content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security
- Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Service
Receiptin reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features may require payment or a subscription.
- Pricing and billing terms are disclosed at the time of purchase
- Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
- Receiptin may modify pricing with reasonable notice
- Failure to pay applicable fees may result in loss of access to paid features
8. Intellectual Property
All software, designs, trademarks, logos, and content related to Receiptin (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to Receiptin and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without prior written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
Receiptin makes no warranties regarding:
- Accuracy or completeness of OCR or AI-generated data
- Error-free or uninterrupted operation
- Fitness for any particular purpose
Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Receiptin shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Errors arising from incorrect receipt interpretation
Receiptin’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Receiptin in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or zero dollars ($0) if the Service is provided free of charge.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Receiptin from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
12. Termination
Receiptin may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
You may discontinue use of the Service at any time.
13. Changes to These Terms
Receiptin may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
